Potomac Real Estate

The Potomac area has grown fast since the 1980's, with new single family homes and estates sprinkled within the remaining large areas of open land. Most homes are single family homes, but a number of alternative style homes and townhomes are also present. Sometimes you may have to hunt for the perfect Potomac house.. The town has been reported to have the biggest concentration of million dollar plus properties.

Potomac is known for it's horses - including annual equestrian events.

There is a medical center in Potomac, and Suburban Hospital is in nearby Bethesda. Shopping is done in the center of town at Falls Road and River Road (Potomac Village) and at Tuckerman Lane and Seven Locks Road (Cabin John Shopping Center). Single family homes can be found from from $250,000 (low) to $600,000 (average cost), to $2+ million (high) and even higher. Townhomes can be found in the range of $175,000 to over $500,000.
